Registered Massage Therapy with myofascial integration involves assessing and manually treating the fascia or connective tissue located beneath the skin. The main objective of this method is to relieve adhesions that can restrict the movement of muscle fibres, causing pain. The technique focuses on the tough membranes that wrap, connect, and support the muscular system, which can result in a limited range of motion and soft tissue tension.
Kristine Sloan RMT is the lead therapist at Tranquility Health Victoria. She recently completed a 2-year Biodynamic Myofascial Integration course which focuses on the advanced treatment methods concerning myofascial release, visceral mobilization, assessment and treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral regions, thoracic & rib mobility, scar tissue mobilization, and female pelvic assessment.
