Jared Wood: Wellness Massage Practitioner Victoria BC

We are thrilled to welcome Jared Wood to the Tranquility Health team! 

Jared brings a grounded, compassionate, and client-focused approach to his practice. With a lifelong passion for health, fitness, and helping others, he sees massage therapy as a powerful way to support people in moving freely and feeling their best.

Originally from St. Paul, Alberta, Jared moved to Victoria in 2016 and has been proud to call Vancouver Island home ever since. He is a recent graduate of the 3000-hour Registered Massage Therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy and is currently offering wellness massage sessions while awaiting his official RMT licensure.

Please Note: Jared is not yet a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), and as such, direct billing and insurance reimbursement are not available for his treatments at this time.
 

Jared’s treatment style is patient-centred, collaborative, and intentional. Each session is guided by your individual goals and comfort level, with a focus on creating balance and supporting long-term wellbeing.

He draws on a range of effective techniques, including:

• Swedish and relaxation massage
   
• Myofascial release
   
• Trigger point therapy
   
• Joint mobilizations
   
• Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)
   

Jared also believes in empowering clients through education and home care, offering practical movement and stretching suggestions to extend the benefits of each session.

• Chronic headaches and migraines
   
• Low back and neck pain
   
• Postural imbalances and restricted range of motion
   
• Chronic pain conditions (including fibromyalgia)

• Background in fitness, strength training, and active living
   

When he’s not in practice, Jared enjoys hiking, biking, lifting weights, and exploring new sports. He also loves spending time with his wife and their two mischievous cats at home on the Saanich Peninsula.

Our recent massage therapy graduates, like Jared, offer wellness massage sessions while completing their registration to become RMTs. These treatments provide the same thoughtful, high-quality care you expect from our clinic—at a reduced rate—and are a wonderful way to support both your own wellbeing and the next generation of massage therapists.
